New Executive Director for PALCI
Monday, May 23, 2011 at 8:17AM The PALCI Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Chesser Wilt as Executive Director of PALCI, Inc. Cathy will begin her work in the new PALCI office at 100 N. 20th St., Suite 302, Philadelphia, PA 19103 on July 1, 2011.
As most of you know, Cathy has extensive consortial experience, having served as President of Lyrasis and Executive Director/CEO of PALINET from 2002 through 2010. She also was Director of Member Support and Education Services at Amigos and Executive Coordinator of RONDAC. Cathy has also worked in two PALCI member libraries: Drexel University and Ursinus College.
Cathy's knowledge of the academic library consortium environment, consortium management expertise, and strategic vision for future possibilities will serve PALCI well. The Board found both energy and synergy, as well as pragmatism, in her views of a newly reorganized PALCI.
Cathy will be with us for our June 2 meeting in Harrisburg when we will celebrate PALCI's 15th anniversary. Please join us in welcoming Cathy as PALCI's new Executive Director.
