Ebook Central Updated to HTTPS September 26th

This update impacts all PALCI Members using the Ebook Central platform.

The ProQuest Ebook Central platform, including the LibCentral administrative portal, is now updated to HTTPS, enabling an encrypted, more secure way to communicate between browsers and our services.

Links are redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS, so you don't need to reload MARC records.

If your organization uses proxies to access Ebook Central, you will need to update links and certificates to support HTTPS if you haven't already. This support article shows how to complete changes in proxy servers and provides answers to common questions.

Please note that if your library hosts its own EZProxy, you'll need to upgrade to version 6.2.2. Some libraries may need more time to make this change, and ProQuest will continue to support the TLS 1.0 protocol used in EZProxy 5.7.44 so that your library may benefit from using HTTPS. However, OCLC ended support for 5.7.44 in August, and ProQuest's ability to troubleshoot future issues will be limited.
