The meeting will be held in State College at the Nittany Lion Inn and at the Penn State Libraries.</p>
<p>
 The day’s agenda will include:
<span style="text-align: center;"><p>•  our Business Meeting</nbsp>
Topics: PALCI Annual Report and discussion of the draft policies/guidelines for PALCI membership and finance, currently under development by the Board</p>
<p>•	a keynote presentation by Lizanne Payne, former WRLC Executive Director currently working with CRL and the WEST archive, who will report on cooperative archive initiatives throughout the US and what PALCI’s next steps might be, following the success of our distributed print archive project,</p>
<p>•	at least 2 concurrent Working Group meetings – 1 on EZ Borrow and the other on shared archives/collections, and </p>
<p>•	tours of the new Knowledge Commons at the Pattee Library.</p></span>

We anticipate sleeping rooms will be difficult to get in State College in early June so please make a reservation even if you’re not sure you will be attending.  After May 6th, the PALCI rate will only be honored on an “if available” basis.  </p>

Cathy will begin her work in the new PALCI office at 100 N. 20th St., Suite 302, Philadelphia, PA 19103 on July 1, 2011.</p>
<p>As most of you know, Cathy has extensive consortial experience, having served as President of Lyrasis and Executive Director/CEO of PALINET from 2002 through 2010.&nbsp;&nbsp;She also was Director of Member Support and Education Services at Amigos and Executive Coordinator of RONDAC.&nbsp;&nbsp;Cathy has also worked in two PALCI member libraries:&nbsp;&nbsp;Drexel University and Ursinus College.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Cathy's knowledge of the academic library consortium environment, consortium management expertise, and strategic vision for future possibilities will serve PALCI well.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Board found both energy and synergy, as well as pragmatism, in her views of a newly reorganized PALCI.</p>
