<p>PHILADELPHIA,  PA &ndash; January 10, 2013-PALCI, the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc., has announced the new members and officers of its Board of Directors for 2013. The PALCI membership consists of 70 academic and research libraries, private and public, in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A nine-member board guides the work of PALCI. Members are elected for terms of three years. Elected to serve for the 2013 to 2015 term are Jill Ausel, Library Director, Chatham University; BethAnn Zambella, Director of the Library, Elizabethtown College; and Joseph Lucia, Library Director, Villanova University.</p>
<p>The board also elected new officers in early December. The following assumed their new duties in January 2013:&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>President:</strong> Peggy Seiden, College Librarian, Swarthmore  College</p>
<p><strong>Vice President/President Elect</strong>: Joseph Lucia, Library Director, Villanova  University</p>
<p><strong>Secretary:</strong> Barbara Dewey, Dean of University Libraries and Scholarly Communications, The Pennsylvania State University</p>
<p><strong>Treasurer:</strong> Donald Dilmore, Associate Vice President for University Libraries, Edinboro University</p>
<p><strong>Annual Meeting Explores Next Gen Library Infrastructure</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The 2012 PALCI Fall Member Meeting was held December 5 on the campus of the University  of Pittsburgh. The theme for the meeting was <em>Next Gen Library Infrastructure</em>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; During the meeting, the service of outgoing board members was recognized. Retiring from the board are Susan Campbell, Library Director, York College of Pennsylvania; Laverna Saunders, University Librarian, Duquesne University; and Carrie Rampp, Director of Library Services, Bucknell University.</p>
<p>The meeting kicked off with a keynote address by Carl Grant, President at CARE Affiliates consulting group and Executive Advisor to Dean of Libraries at Virginia Tech University. Attendees also heard presentations from staff at Swarthmore College, Bucknell University, and Villanova&nbsp;University on their advances in library technology infrastructures.<span style="color: #525252;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>In the afternoon sessions, member representatives met to discuss PALCI&rsquo;s initiatives on resource sharing, print archiving and joint e-resource acquisition.</p>
